The Committee on Innovation Development and Information Technologies of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis heard a report from the Ministry of Digital Technologies regarding the progress in achieving the target indicators of the "Digital Uzbekistan — 2030" strategy for the year 2025.
As noted, systematic and phased work is being carried out within the framework of the strategy. From January to May 2025, the volume of communication and informatization services increased by 123.5%. The number of self-employed citizens in the field of information and communication technologies (ICT) has exceeded 100,000, indicating a growing interest and participation in this sector. The export of IT services and remote services now covers more than 90 countries.
In addition, 54 new electronic services were introduced on the fied Interactive Government Services Portal in 2025, bringing the total number of services to 761.
The meeting also focused on the development of artificial intelligence technologies in Uzbekistan. In particular, modern GPU-based server clusters worth 1 million dollars were purchased for the healthcare sector. The "MyID Palm" palm-print payment system was also introduced in the Tashkent Metro.
In total, more than 100 projects have been implemented under the strategy.
The deputies provided recommendations for the timely and effective implementation of the tasks outlined in the strategy and emphasized the need for comprehensive support for the Ministry of Digital Technologies.
