On September 24, 2025, within the framework of Uzbekistan's ICT Week, a meeting was held with A. Karajanova, an expert from the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UN ESCAP) on information and communication technologies (ICT) and disaster risk reduction.
During the meeting, which took place at the Digital Government Project Management Center, information was presented on the current state and future prospects of Uzbekistan's "Digital Government."
In turn, the international expert gave a presentation on the activities of UN ESCAP in the field of digital transformation. She emphasized the importance of public-private partnerships and specifically highlighted the role of small and medium-sized enterprises.
A. Karajanova also introduced the UN ESCAP methodology for data analysis in the field of digital transformation. Additionally, she evaluated the projects aimed at developing ICT infrastructure in Central Asian countries.
A. Karajanova expressed readiness to promote new projects for the development of Uzbekistan's digital ecosystem within the framework of the UN ESCAP "Roadmap" for 2027-2030. At the end of the meeting, the next stages of cooperation within the project were agreed upon.
