The results of the study on the application of the UN Local Online Services Index (LOSI) methodology in Uzbekistan were discussed
Yesterday, on February 7, the results of the study on the application of the LOSI methodology in Uzbekistan were presented to the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA) and the United Nations University Operating Unit on Policy-Driven Electronic Governance (UNU-EGOV).
The Zoom event was attended by the Chief of the UN DESA Digital Government Department - Vincenzo Aquaro, the Director of the UN DESA Division of Public Institutions and Digital Government - Juwang Zhu, the Director of the United Nations University Operating Unit on Policy-Driven Electronic Governance - Delfina Soares, as well as representatives of the Digital Government Projects Management Center as well as 14 municipality representatives, responsible for the development of digitalization of city portals.
During the event, the current state and prospects for the development of city portals, as well as the comprehensive inclusiveness of e-government, were discussed.
The management of the UN DESA and UNU-EGOV highly appreciated the presented Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On additional measures to improve the position of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the United Nations E-Government Survey” and expressed full support for Uzbekistan’s desire to develop e-government.
At the end of the meeting, issues of further development and strengthening of relations with the UN DESA and UNU-EGOV were discussed.
