Uzbekistan and Amazon’s Project Kuiper are establishing cooperation to develop high-speed satellite internet.
As part of an official visit to the United States of America, the Minister of Digital Technologies, Sherzod Shermatov, held a meeting with Lisa Scalpone, Vice President for International Consumer Business at Amazon’s Project Kuiper.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the implementation of Project Kuiper’s services in Uzbekistan, the development of the digital ecosystem through IT Park, and the introduction of high-speed satellite internet services.
It was noted that this initiative plays a key role in modernizing the country’s internet infrastructure, supporting innovative projects, and expanding public access to digital services.
For reference: Earlier, the Ministry of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Amazon Kuiper Commercial Services LLC signed a Memorandum of Understanding formalizing bilateral cooperation.
